For example, a&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC4286320\/\" target=\"_blank\">2014 pilot study published in the Journal of Psychopharmacology<\/a>&nbsp;found that smokers who received psilocybin-assisted therapy had significantly higher rates of smoking cessation than those who received nicotine patches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">What may not be as clear until further research is done is whether one or two large doses of psychedelics in a therapeutic setting is required for success, or if someone can start a regimen of microdosing and find similar success. Psychedelics can have powerful effects on the mind and body, and their use carries potential risks and side effects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">If you are interested in using psychedelics to quit smoking, it is important to speak with a healthcare professional who can provide you with more information on the potential benefits and risks, and can help you determine if this approach is appropriate for your individual needs and circumstances.
